You are invited to come and enjoy the traditional pleasures of Lebanon!

Belly dance

"Belly Dancing" originates from the folkloric dances of the Middle East. Some of these dances were religious or spiritual in nature, others designed for court or harem entertainment, others celebratory. Regional and cultural variations have given birth to many different dance styles, each with particular music and costumes. The style of belly dancing most Westerners recognise is a relatively new (20th century) fusion of many different Middle Eastern dance steps with a generous dollop of Hollywood and western ballet steps thrown in. The most characteristic move performed by all belly dancers is called shimmy. It is very thrilling and spectacular; and to see how much, please see our clip.

Belly Dancer performes for free every Friday night or can be reserved on demand one day prior, at a price of 350 zl.

Sheesha

One of the oldest and deep rooted traditions in Lebanon is the Arguile (Shishah), with both men and women finding great pleasure in smoking the water pipe. The "Shishah" has been the standard of smoking for centuries in the Middle East and originated in Turkey over 400 years ago. During the Ottoman Empire, when time passed slowly, smoking a "Arguile" water pipe was one of the ways of whiling away the time among the elite living in big cities. The original Arguile came from India, but it was rather primitive . Its popularity spread to Iran and then to the rest of the Arab world. But it was in Turkey that the Arguile completed its revolution, and did not change its style for the last few hundred years.

The Arguile became a very important part of the coffee shop culture, finding its popularity in Beirut Cafes. The joy that the smokers received from this very simple yet beautiful smoking apparatus was unbelievable.

We welcome you to try to smoke the Arguile in a Lebanese ambiance, while enjoying some mezzeh and drinking Arak

Water pipe (strawberry or apple flavor). Price 75,00 zl.
